Larnie Moles is a jun-gal on a mission to get arms in the air, through her sets that provide a lyrical voyage, mixed with deep subsonic basslines. Everything from her attitude to infectious energy resonates in the sound of drums…and…bass.
Spending countless years obsessed with basslines pumping out of sound systems in fields and warehouses up and down the UK before throwing herself into radio and DJing. This tastemaker spent 4 years on-air as the host for Underground Beats, with guests from Altern8, Mampi Swift, MC Coppa & Kutski. Winning Silver in PRS’s best specialist music programming at the SRA awards with documentary Makina: The Grime of the North East.
Making waves across the UK, with her Jungle/DnB riddims, over the last year she has mixed for Epidemik, KISS Fresh, Data Transmission, Reprezent, Cyberdog, Rough Tempo, and more – supporting the likes of Technimatic, Meraki, T.N.A & Jayline. Catch her playing alongside MissLedz and Kyrist at Lakota for Shutdown in November.
Inspired by the sound systems covered in camo and relentlessly energetic sets from DJ’s like AMC, Mark EG & Andy C, her uncompromising obsession with mixing, blending, double dropping and cleverly placed FX, spreading over 4 decks keeps you on your toes and provides energy to the dancefloor. When she’s not making radio she can be found in studios across London refining her craft. Her festival sets may be canceled but there are productions in the pipeline and she shows no sign of slowing down…
